DrumFade privacy policy

Effective July 29, 2026

The short version

DrumFade does not collect, store or share any personal data. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking of any kind inside the app.

Your audio

Songs you process never leave your device. All audio processing happens locally on your phone's processor. DrumFade has no servers that receive audio.

What the app sends over the network

Exactly one thing: on first setup, the app downloads its audio separation model file (about 84 MB) from a public file host. This is a plain file download, like a browser fetching a file. No personal information, identifiers or audio travel with that request. After the model is installed, the app works fully offline.

Permissions

DrumFade asks for notification permission so it can show processing progress, and uses the system file picker to open songs you choose. It cannot browse your files beyond what you pick.

The website

If you request the app by email at drumfade.com, we store the email address you give us so we can send the download link and update notes. Reply stop to any email and we remove it. We never sell or share addresses.
